Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in the BE/BTech Paper of JEE (Main) 2025. Last year, as many as 250284 candidates passed JEE Mains to appear for JEE Advanced. Check the table below:

Applicants must have been born on October 1, 2000, or later. SC, ST, and PwD applicants are granted a five-year age relaxation; that is, they must have been born on or after October 1, 1995.
A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years. Candidates who have appeared for JEE Advanced 2024 for the first time can also appear for JEE Advanced 2025. Also, the candidates who will appear for JEE Advanced 2025 for the first time can participate in JEE Advanced 2026. Candidates who took JEE Advanced in 2023 or earlier cannot appear in JEE Advanced 2025.
Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2025.
Regardless of the combination of topics attempted or offered, candidates who took the Class XII (or equivalent) test for the first time in 2023 or earlier are not eligible to take the JEE (Advanced) 2025 exam.
Regardless of whether they stayed in the program or accepted an IIT seat by reporting online or at a reporting center, an applicant should not have previously been admitted to an IIT.

The results of JEE Advanced 2025 are made public online. To view their scores and download the scorecard, candidates must log in. Additionally, the candidates' registered cellphone numbers will receive text notifications. Candidates will not receive individual rank cards.
A candidate's JEE Advanced 2025 Physics score will be the sum of their scores from Paper 1's Physics section and Paper 2's Physics section. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will offer and distribute the seats among IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) using a standardized procedure that will be conducted online. Candidates may participate in the Joint Seat Allocation process if they receive a rank in JEE (Advanced) 2025. JoSAA is undertaken only online. Applicants who qualify for admission must complete their desired course and institute selections to participate in the joint seat allocation procedure.
Step 1: Registration: As the first step, candidates must register for JEE Advanced 2025 counselling and seat allotment. Students must use their JEE Main roll number and JEE Advanced password as credentials while logging in.
Step 2: Filling and Locking of Choice: After registration, candidates must select the colleges and courses of their choice from the available options and lock them.
Step 3: Allotment of Seats: The authorities will conduct mock seat allotments for candidates as per their choices. Candidates will be allowed to change their choices after mock allotment. Seats will be allotted to students according to their merit, preferred choices, category, and availability.
