NEET MDS 2025 Result: Dates, How to Download, Qualifying Percentile, Counselling

NEET MDS 2025 result will be announced in February 2025. The National Board of Examinations will release the MDS 2025 online as a merit list and scorecard. The NBE will issue the NEET MDS 2024 merit list first, followed by the NEET MDS scorecard in March 2025. Both the documents will be released in PDF formats. While all the students can access the merit list, the scorecard will be accessible only to the respective candidates. The NEET MDS exam 2025 will be conducted on 31 January 2025. Last year, approximately 28,000 candidates appeared for the examination. Along with the result, the authority also release the NEET MDS 2025 cutoff.

The MoHFW, or the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has announced a decrease in the qualifying percentile for the NEET MDS exam in the year 2024. As per the official notification, the ministry has decided to reduce the qualifying cutoff percentile for NEET MDS 2024 by 21.692 for all the categories. The ministry has notified the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to publicise the revised NEET MDS result 2024 with decreased qualifying percentiles and advised the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to take the required actions based on the revised results. Even though the NEET MDS cutoff was reduced, there was no change in the rank list.

Qualifying Percentile for NEET MDS 2025

The NEET MDS 2025 qualifying percentile is the minimum percentile that a candidate must score to become eligible for the NEET MDS counselling process. This percentile has been decided by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and varies for candidates belonging to different categories. As per the Ministry of Health, the NEET MDS cutoff percentile has been lowered by 21.692 in 2024, for each category of candidates. 

NEET MDS 2025 Counselling

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), will conduct the NEET MDS 2025 counselling. 

The NEET MDS counselling process will be held a month after the NEET MDS result 2025 are declared. There counselling will be held in three to four stages. The authority will release an individual seat matrix for each round and will administer the registration and choice-filling processes for the counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee will allocate seats to candidates on the basis of the candidates’ choices and scores.
