The Alpha Group is committed to providing all worthy students, regardless of their social or economic background, with the benefits of its endeavors. To achieve its goals, the organization has implemented a merit scholarship program, which is detailed below:
Name & Scope Scholarship
The program will be called the Alpha Merit Scholarship Program. By providing merit scholarships to students who are admitted to ACET on the basis of their academic standing on the qualifying exam, the goal is to identify and honor excellence.
Entire Scholarships
The management will decide how many scholarships are awarded for each academic year and will notify applicants prior to the start of the admissions process. Typically, between 5% and 10% of each stream's authorized seats will be set aside for merit scholarship awards.
Eligibility and Selection
Students may apply for a merit scholarship, if they receive at least 90% points in the qualifying public exam that Anna University requires. Every applicant will be placed according to merit. The applicant must be admitted to Alpha College of Engineering for the scholarship to be awarded. The amount of scholarships available will be limited to the total amount granted for that particular academic year. Throughout the duration of the fellowship, the recipient will be known as an Alpha Scholar. A candidate has the right to reject a scholarship offer. In such a case, a wait-listed candidate will receive the scholarship next in line with merit.
The Scholarship's Nature
Full tuition fee waivers will be provided as part of the scholarship offer. The recipients will not be eligible to receive payment in cash.
Permanent
To determine whether they would be eligible to continue the scholarship for the duration of the ensuring term/year, each awardee must submit a performance report that has been duly endorsed by the Principal or Director. Only if the scholar receives a cumulative score of at least 90% in all semester/annual exams will the scholarship be renewed for the subsequent term/year. Maintaining the scholarship also requires good behavior and consistent attendance. In all such cases, the management's judgment shall be final and binding.
Ending Scholarship
The scholarship award may be withdrawn, suspended, or cancelled by the management if it is discovered that the recipient has falsified any documentation, with held information, or represented facts falsely in their application. Withdrew, discontinued, or been expelled from the college for any reason is engaged in inappropriate behavior as determined by the authorities or failed to assiduously pursue the approved course of study in the college. Should the scholarship be withdrawn or terminated, the recipient will be obligated to cover the entire cost of tuition.
Refundable
When the student who receives scholarship notice that the scholarship is being revoked, cancelled, or discontinued, they are required to pay the full amount as of that date, along with interest accrued at the rate determined by the management. If they don't the amount in default will be considered arrears of fees owed to the college and will be collected in accordance with college policies.
