Passed the 10+2 exam with Physics and Mathematics as obligatory subjects, as well as one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational topic/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering/ Graphics or Business Studies. GIETU: Scholarships
GIET University offers a variety of grants for tutoring in various courses depending on a student's performance and financial situation. Among the important scholarships are:Â
- Merit Scholarship: Given to deserving B.Tech students from Odisha, particularly those who achieved the highest scores on state-recognized boards, the award amount ranges from INR 25,000 to INR 50,000 per academic year.
- Ph.D and M. Tech Scholarship: Full-time Ph.D. students are eligible for Ph.D. and M.Tech scholarships, which provide a monthly stipend of INR 25,000 to cover research costs.
- AICTE Pragathi and Saksham Scholarship: The AICTE Pragati and Saksham Scholarships are government-funded awards given to students with disabilities (Saksham) and female students (Pragati) whose family makes less than 8 lakh a year.Â
- Board of Governance Scholarship: This scholarship is intended to assist all students with their tuition costs, regardless of the program they are enrolled in; nevertheless, they must do well.Â
- Odisha State Scholarship and Sponsored Scholarship: Scholarships offered by the state and federal governments to students from SC, ST, and other underprivileged groups are referred to as Odisha State Scholarships and Sponsored Scholarships.

GIETU: Campus and Hostel Infrastructure
Campus Facilities: The Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology, presently known as GIET University, Gunupur, was founded in 1997 by the Vidya Bharati Educational Trust at Gunupur, Odisha, India. With the motto maintaining Quality Education in a disciplined and favourable atmosphere of International Standard, the Trust has been dedicated to technical education in India since its founding.Â
It is the best in eastern India for a variety of reasons: GIET University is a 26-year-old, unique educational institution and a magnificent pillar of learning that has produced a wide range of scholars, leaders, and national religious and social icons throughout the country, leaving lasting impressions that have made it an institution to behold. More than 3,780 students, including both graduate and postgraduate students, attend GIET University in Gunupur.
A completely ragging-free workplace with no lost working days, 300 and more top-notch faculty, a beautiful campus spanning 113.03 acres, unmatched facilities including 110 laboratories, four distinct, highly advanced workshops, 20 computerized laboratories, 64 well-appointed, contemporary classrooms, seven air-conditioned auditoriums, and the best hostels for boys and girls with 2817 beds in 12 boys.Â
The institution admits students to a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in fields such as computer engineering, electronics, and others. Hostel Facilities: The university includes ten boys hostels. The hostels can accommodate more than 2000 students. Every hostel has a telephone, indoor games, water purifiers, and other amenities. In addition, the university maintains eight girls' hostels for students to stay in. Girls' hostels can accommodate up to 600 students, and all the basic facilities are maintained by wardens.
Library: They have a 24-hour air-conditioned library with 81000 books. The library, which covers 1649 square meters, boasts an unrivalled collection of books, magazines, and journals. The library currently acquires renowned international and national print periodicals and magazines, electronic journals, and full-text online publications. It is ultimately responsible for influencing pupils' learning processes as well as their ability to process knowledge.Â
Students can read more than 1,100 e-journals and databases from an online library. This digital collection is ready to use at any moment because it may be accessed whenever it is required. The library contains two reading rooms where students can study at the same time; each hall can accommodate up to 1000 students. The library is fully air-conditioned and provides Wi-Fi access for students to study.
