Established in 1951 in the heart of Tamil Nadu at Tiruchirappalli, AMAL MOHAMED COLLEGE is a living testament to the ambition of its founding fathers, renowned business magnates and benefactors Janab Haji M. Jamal Mohamed Sahib and Janab N. M. Khajamian Rowther. The college has grown to become one of South India's top universities with 5000 students, including 1300 female students, college offered 14 UG and 19 PG courses as well as 13 research programs leading to M.Phil and Ph.D degrees.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) granted the college FIVE STAR accreditation in 2001. start in 2004–2005 academic year, the College received autonomous status from the UGC and Bharathidasan University. Also the UG and PG programs now use the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS).
About the Computer Science PG and Science Department
The B.Sc. The Computer Science course was introduced in 1986 the establishment of the Department of Computer Science is begin with an initial enrollment of 50 students. The college has been gradually expanding since that day and now offers courses in computer hardware and network administration, including the B.Sc.(CS) (4 Sections), BCA (4 Sections), MCA (2 Sections), M.Sc.(CS) (2 Sections), M.Sc.(IT) (2 Sections), M.Phil., PGDCA, and PGDCH. There are now 1425 students enrolled, 385 of them are female.
The Department has an air-conditioned main hall, air-conditioned lecture rooms, and well-furnished, air-conditioned laboratories with the newest computer configurations. The department offers a conducive learning environment so that students can use resourses of campus and enhance their personal and intellectual skills to address the challenges of the new millennium. Scholars and researchers have highly valued the department's first-rate infrastructure resources as well as the high caliber of IT instruction it provides.
JMC Tiruchirappalli MCA PROGRAMME (AICTE Approved)
The computer science department was started in 1988 which is associated with Bharathidasan University and receives grant-in-aid from the Tamil Nadu government and offers the esteemed MCA program. A second batch of the MCA program was launched in 1992 under the self-finance model. The AICTE has accepted both batches. The department has been delivering results that are 100% every time.

In its computer they mention every detail of their books which is present in the library. There are around 6300 books in the library's collection along with 15 periodicals, magazines, and CDs. The library runs entirely on automated systems. The open access policy in the library is advantageous to the students. Students can use the large reading room in the library from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Hostel:
For students who miss home, campus provides newest amenities, including huge space and beautiful decorated rooms, a recreation area with audio and video equipment, newspapers, periodicals, journals, STD/ISD capabilities, and an internet browsing center which help them to study in a peaceful environment.
Sports:
The college supports and encourages games and sports like weightlifting, chess, cricket, hockey, basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, tennis, table tennis, and basketball. The college has achieved recognition in every subject and is well-liked throughout Tamil Nadu for its athletics, games, and sports.
Boys Hostel:
One of Tamil Nadu's largest hostels is the Khajamian Hostel with its nine blocks, the hostel is a house of approx 2200 students. The hostel grounds include a Visitors' Room, Library, Reading Room, Clinic, Cafeteria, Ironing Room, Television Room, Prayer Hall, Auditorium, Multipurpose Hall, Guest House, Internet Browsing Center, Play Ground, Canteen, Generators, and Public Address System.
Girls Hostel:
Working hours at the college are from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. To ensure they arrive for their lesson on time, the warden must take rounds of the hostel premises by 1:45 p.m. When leaving for college and returning, warden must leave their fingerprints on the biometric screen at the entrance to their assigned block. It is important that the warden return to the dormitory by 6:45 p.m. If an inmate stays at the college beyond 6:45 p.m., they must obtain the appropriate written consent from their instructor or the head of the department, and they must give the permission letter to the security guard or clerk at the main gate of the hostel.
Civil Service Examination Study Centre:
To satisfy a major need of our society, the Civil Services Examination Study Centre was established in 2012 as a brilliant gem in the vibrant crown of Jamal Mohamed College. The center's main goal is to provide our college's youthful, vibrant, and dynamic students with foundational training in civil services so they can pass the UPSC tests and go on to work in important administrative positions in our nation. Regular classes are held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm for female students and from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm for male students on all college working days.

Transport:
For a modest fee, the college offers transportation for female students. About fifteen college buses make it easier for students to get from different parts of JMC Tiruchirappalli City to the institution. In order for students to get ready for class at 2:00 p.m., all buses arrive on campus at 01:50 p.m. At 06:30 p.m., the buses depart from the campus.
Communication Lab:
