Jawaharlal Nehru University, Popularly known as JNU, is one of the Premier Universities in India. The University offers various programs in the field of Engineering, Arts, Science and Management. The University is known for providing high-level courses. Also, The University offers different courses for UG, PG, and PhD-level programs.

The University also offers various courses such as BTech, BA Hons, Integrated MSc, COP, etc., courses for UG programs. Also, it offers MTech, MA, MSc, MCA, MBA etc courses for PG programs. The University offers various courses for PhD Program. Every year, The University offers around 10+ courses for all the programs. 

Admission to the University includes the consideration of a Certain minimum aggregate in a 10+2 relevant qualifying exam and a valid entrance test score, passed graduate. Also, For UG, it prefers candidates with a minimum aggregate of 45% for general and 40% for reservation candidates in a 10+2 equivalent qualification with relevant subjects recognized by related boards and a valid JEE Main/ CUET UG Score. Also, For PG, it prefers candidates with passed graduation in relevant disciplines and a valid CAT/ CUET PG Score.

Under the UG Program, the University offers courses in various streams, such as BTech, BSc, Integrated MSc, COP. Its eligibility includes a good merit in a 10+2 equivalent qualification and a valid JEE Main/ CUET UG Score. The final selection will be made by considering the Merit in 10+2 and entrance test.

• Visit the Official Website of the respective entrance exam like CUET UG   
• Click Apply Now
• Fill in the related/ required details clearly in detail followed by exam city
• Pay the application fee of INR 2,000/- to 1,000/-.
• Print the application form and keep it for future use.
• Note: Candidates can login directly if the application fee is paid.

Under the PG Program, the University offers courses in various streams, such as MTech, MA, MSc, MCA, MBA. Its eligibility includes good merit in a bachelor’s degree and a valid CAT/ CUET PG Score. The final selection will be made by considering the merit of graduation and entrance test.

• Visit the Official Website of the relative entrance exams like CUET PG          
• Choose the program as shown
• Fill in the related/ required details like name, marks obtained etc. correctly followed by selection of other details
• Make a Payment of 2,000/- to 1,000/-
• Print the application form and keep it for future use.

JNU New Delhi PhD Admission 2025

Under the PhD Program, the University offers courses in various streams. Its eligibility includes good merit in a master’s degree and a valid GATE/JRF Score. The final selection will be made by considering the merit of masters and entrance test.

• Register for Viva voice and Interview
• Fill in the related/ required details like name, marks obtained etc., correctly 
• Attach the Payment receipt of 2,000/- to 1,000/-
• Print the application form and keep it for future use.

JNU New Delhi Admission Process 2025

Candidates are required to submit their marks while registering, which is crucial for admissions. After submitting, candidates must participate in the counselling/ admission process by selecting the preferred courses/program on the official website. Candidates will be enrolled in the selected programs based on their chosen preferences.

How to apply?

• Visit the official website of the respective/ related entrance exam.
• Click ‘Apply Now’.
• Start filling out the application form using personal & professional details in the available form, then choose the course & exam city. 

• Candidates registering for several courses must attempt entrance tests like JEE Main/ CUET UG/ CUET PG/ CAT or other valid Entrance Tests/ Exams for admission in UG and PG, etc programs. Also, make sure to provide all the required details and documents correctly.

• After completing the filling of personal details; participate in the counselling/ admission process by entering your scores obtained in relevant exams/boards exams as a procedure of the counselling process for admission to the University. Also, the provided scores will be used to confirm your eligibility for admission to the University.
• Based on the submitted/ acquired scores of the Board marks/ Entrance exams or relevant qualifications, the University will allocate Seats. The seat allocation process also considers the availability of seats for particular disciplines.
• Candidates who get selected or successful admission will receive a provisional offer letter. Also, this letter indicates the sign of successful admission, moving to further admission processes.
• Attend the physical counselling session as mentioned in the very mandatory offer letter. This step shows your interest and eligibility for the allocated seat.
• Pay the enrollment and other fees by the mentioned date in the provisional admission offer letter. Completing the payment is very crucial to secure your admission to the Institute.
• Complete the final registration process at the University to officially join the University.
• Classes will also commence as per the academic schedule provided by the University/ Institute.
