Library:
Everyone can approach IIT library only from Monday to Friday in between 09:30 am to 05:30pm but for avail this facility user should carry a letter of introduction and their smart card which is available in reference station.
DELNET:
Delnet is the facility in KJ Somaiya College of Engineering where it aim is to provide computerised services to students which help to collect, share or gain information and knowledge. It promotes digital library and digitally sharing information through computer.
Open Access System:
KJ Somaiya College of Engineering give this system help everyone to browse the book in the computer so they know where it place in shelfs, which will save so much time and efforts. Also help to know about the other collections of books.
Book’s Self Renewal:
Self- Renew allowed by library to everyone for borrowing books through WebOPAC in which faculty have permission to renew per book 4 time and for Students and staff 1 time per book on or before due date.
Digital Library:
The National Digital Library (NDL) pilot project was started by the Ministry of Human Resource Development as part of its National Mission on Education via Information and Communication Technology. Its goal is to create a virtual repository of learning resources that has a single-window search function.
Support for all academic levels—including researchers and lifelong learners—as well as for all fields, popular access devices, and students with disabilities is planned for. IIT Kharagpur is where it is being developed.
Book reservation facility:
User can reserve the book which is not currently available in library. The book will reserved for 24 hours. An automatic email or sms will be share to user as soon as the reserved book returned but the books available for reservation are not allowed to self-renewed.
Hostel: KJSCE Mumbai have 4 type of hostel facilities
- Sandipani hostel: this is the name of boys hostel which has 11 floor and spread over 1,53,000 Sq.ft has capacity of 683 students where boys can share twin or triple basis.
- Maitreyi hostel: this is only girls hostel it has 5 floor and spread over 94000 sq.ft. This has capacity of 373 students where girls can share twin or triple basis.
- Polytechnic hostel: It is the boys and girls hostel of 6 floors over 47638 Sq.ft.
- Ashtavakra hostel: this hostel is over 216995 Sq.ft of 12 floor building have total capacity of 712 students. where twin sharing, triple sharing and dormitory.
Sports:
Sports are important for students, it help to make them healthy and active. They have sports facilities like Table Tennis Court, handball, Squash Court, Cricket Ground, taekwondo, roller skating, kabaddi, Tennis Court, Swimming Pool, Basketball Court, Badminton court, Aerial Silk, Athletics, chess, gym, futsal, Khokho, judo, powerlifting, Squash, Wall climbing, etc
Biomedical Engineering and Technological Incubation Cell (BETiC) Lab:
Engineers and doctors are brought together by BETiC. Understanding the needs in the fields of physiotherapy, medical electronics, and other related fields has provided teachers and students with valuable project creation expertise.
