Kannur University is separate from other universities in that it is a multi-campus institution with campuses scattered over different regions under its control. According to the Act, the University will create, manage, and expand campuses in Kannur, Kasaragod, Nileswaram, Mangattuparamba, Mananthavady, Payyannur, Thalassery, and any other locations that are required to support advanced knowledge in science and technology as well as other related fields.
Hostel:
In the Mangattuparamba campus hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. In area of 21.73 acres hostel is located on the Kannur University campus. For the comfortable and focused life of students the hostel is equipped with all the basic facilities.
Library:
Facilities of DELNET and UGC INFONET are provided by the library. developed by INFLIBNET, library has the facility of software SOUL. Library is famous for Sociology, Economics, Malayalam, History, Sanskrit, Statistics, Philosophy, English et cetra. This part of the university provides rich learning source and friendly environment. This library has big space and has great collection of Magazines, Reference books and Journals.
Computer Center:
With WIFI connection there are almost 20 computers, a separate facility of photocopy and print out machine are available in computer lab at Kannur university.
Human Resource Development Center:
The UGC – HRD Center of Kannur University Campus looks for to offer academic professionals everywhere with continuing, state-of-the-art, innovative, and inspiring training that will help them to advance in their careers and achieve the highest standards in creating the next generation capable of receiving information with both intellectual and emotional fulfillment and nurturing the true potential that each person possesses to the fullest extent possible for the exploration of the same for humanity.
Inter-University Centre for Bioscience (IUCB):
The Higher Education Department of the Government of Kerala launched the Inter-University Centre for Bioscience at Kannur University Campus as one of its mission-driven initiatives. Structural molecular biology is the IUCB's primary field of expertise. At tertiary institutions the IUCB offers workshops and specialized training sessions for students and teachers. It become the center of activity for bioscience research in general and structural molecular.
Sports:
Providing sports facilities like Hockey Ground, Badminton Court, Hand Ball Ground, Basketball Court, Kho-Kho Ground, Cricket Ground, Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, Volleyball Court, Kabaddi Ground, Table Tennis and Football Ground.
Medical/ Hospital:
The University's Health Centre is prepared to meet the medical needs of students, with skilled physicians and personnel on call and the support of state-of-the-art lab equipment. All staff and students are welcome to consultations at no cost.
Cafeteria:
Institute has a separate eating place for visitors to eat in the hostel. It is managed by the Warden and is funded entirely by the people. There are wholesome meals provided for the mess's members. The menu is selected by the citizens' council. Meals are served in the dining hall.
CCTV Security Surveillance:
Teacher’s and student’s safety is the top priority for Kannur university. To avoid unwanted activities and crime within the campus Kannur university has the facility of CCTV Surveillance. All classrooms and Laboratories have these CCTV cameras to track each and every activity in the classroom.
