At the University of Kota, PhD admissions are offered based on the scores on the entrance test and interview performance. PhD Admissions

For PhD admissions, candidates have to visit the official website of the University of Kota to apply. If they meet the eligibility criteria, they will have to appear for the entrance test.

  1. 100 objective questions with multiple options are there in the entrance test.
  2. The syllabus of the entrance test includes 50% of questions from research methodology and another 50% are subject-specific. One can download the syllabus of the entrance test from the university’s website
  3. Those who have qualified for UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR-NET/JRF, GATE SET/CEED, etc exams also have to appear for the entrance test conducted by the university.
  4. If a student qualifies for the entrance test, he/she is called for the interview round. The cut-off for the entrance test is 50%.
  5. The entrance test and interview round have weightage of 7:3.
  6. 5% relaxation in cut-off is provided to SC/ST/OBC category students.
  7. If a student has passed the entrance test, he can appear for two interviews if he has been disqualified in the first one.
  8. Only a selected few students are admitted to the University of Kota's PhD program. The number entirely depends on the number of seats available in PhD and according to that students are called for the interview.
