The Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which is administered by NTA for all UG and PG degrees, is the basis for Miranda House Admissions 2024. In order to be admitted to the UG program, candidates must take the CUET UG test, and in order to be admitted to the PG program, they must take the CUET PG exam.

Candidates who meet the requirements for all UG and PG programs must register on the admission.uod.ac.in portal of Delhi University as soon as the CUET results are released. They will also need to select their chosen college and program. Qualifying candidates from the CUET UG exam must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) in order to be considered for UG admissions. Seat allocation will take place via the CSAS site.

Candidates holding bachelor's degrees from Delhi University have been given 50% of the seats for PG admission, which is determined by their qualifying exam scores. The other half of the seats will be occupied by candidates for the CUET PG test.

Additionally, Miranda House allocates 50% of all places for students who fall under the categories of SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or PWD.

Miranda House UG Admission 2024

Miranda House provides UG courses in a variety of subject areas. The BA program, BA (Hons.), B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons.), and B.El.Ed. are the courses that are available. Applicants must pass a 10+2 level test in the respective stream in order to be considered for any of the above courses. The CUET results will be used to determine who gets admitted to these courses.

Miranda House UG Selection Criteria

Admission to undergraduate programs is determined by the university's CUET exams, which are followed by rounds of e-counselling. It will be necessary for candidates who pass their CUET exams to sign up for online counseling. After the two rounds of e-counselling, candidates will be able to select the college they want to attend.

Additionally, there are three components in the CUET exam:

  • Section 1 Languages: this further contains two sections, ‘A’ and ‘B’. Section ‘A’ contains 13 languages such as Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, etc. Section ‘B’ contains 20 languages such as French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, etc. For admission candidates must at least appear in one language.
  • Section 2 Domain Specific: There are 27 domain specific subjects in this section. Candidates are required to refer to the program specific eligibility criteria in order to select domain specific subjects.
  • Section 3 General Test: General test for any UG programme offered by the university where the general test is being used for admission. Candidates must refer to the program specific eligibility criteria for selecting general tests.

Miranda House UG Application Process

The processes listed below can be used by candidates who are applying for Miranda House's undergraduate courses to apply for the CUET:

  • Candidates must first visit the official CUET website that is: @cuet.samarth.ac.in.
  • Upon opening the website candidates will find the ‘Register’ tab, they must click on it.
  • After reading and understanding the information provided, candidates must hit the ‘Proceed’ button.
  • After this candidates will be directed to the application form. Candidates must fill in the required details carefully.
  • After filling the necessary details candidates will have to upload important documents such as signature, photograph, marksheet, etc. Candidates must upload all the required documents.
  • Candidates need to pay the application fee at the time of submitting the form or else the Online Application Form will not be considered.
  • After submitting the fee candidates print out the form and save a hard copy for future references.
  • Candidates can login to their portals for any new updates, college cutoffs and so forth.
  • Candidates who are accepted must report to college where the cutoff percentage is met. Candidates will be required to carry some documents with them such as Character certificate, provisional certificate, self attested photocopies of all the documents submitted above, class 11 and 12 original marksheets, etc.

Miranda House PG Admission 2024

Miranda House provides PG programs with MA and M.Sc. courses in a variety of specializations. Applicants for any of these courses must be eligible for a bachelor's degree in the pertinent field. Merit or the results of the entrance exam will determine the selection process.

Miranda House PG Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must earn a minimum of 55% in their BA (Hons.) or BA (equivalent) in the applicable discipline in order to be eligible to apply to the MA program.
  • Applicants for the M.Sc. program must have earned a minimum of 55% in their B.Sc. (Hons.) or B.Sc. or equivalent in the relevant discipline.
  • Candidates must receive a score of 60% or higher to be considered for merit-based admission (for both MA and M.Sc. programs).
  • A minimum of 55% of the total points needed for both the MA and M.Sc. programs are needed to be qualified to take the entrance exam for entrance-based admission.

Miranda House PG Selection Process

  • Admission is granted based on Merit and valid DUET scores.
  • As per DU guideline students who have completed their Graduation from any of the DU affiliated colleges and are seeking for PG admission in the relevant field can opt for merit based admission.
  • Candidates Graduating from different Universities or with a Bachelor’s Degree in different subjects must qualify the DU conducted entrance exam (DUET).

Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Admission Process 2024

Delhi University has introduced the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for admission to UG courses for all its affiliated colleges. The entire process is explained below:

Phase 1: CSAS Application Form

  • Aspirants are required to fill the CSAS application form on the centralized admission portal by paying a one-time non-refundable application fee.
  • ECA and sports quota candidates will have to pay an additional fee.

Phase 2: Selection of Courses and College Preferences

  • Second phase will start after the results of the CUET examination are declared.
  • After the CUET Result declaration, eligible candidates will have to select the courses and fill the preference of desired colleges on the centralised CSAS portal.

Phase 3: Seat Allocation and Final Admission

  • Merit list will be declared on the basis of CUET scores.
  • Multiple rounds of seat allotment will be conducted.
  • Candidates will have to check if they have been allotted a seat on the CSAS dashboard. If allotted, candidates must accept their seat on or before the given date for that particular round.
  • Seat allocation will be based on multiple factors such as - combination of college and program chosen, position of the candidate on the merit list, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.
  • Upon acceptance of seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the payment of fee.
