RDVV Jabalpur: Admissions 2025 – Fees, Eligibility, Last Date & Process

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, often called the institution of Jabalpur, is a government institution in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was named after Queen Rani Durgavati.
At both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, the institution provides a wide range of courses with various specialisations. The institution also provides facilities for research through its M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in a variety of subjects of study.
The institution conducts separate entrance tests to evaluate eligible candidates and prepare merit lists for various disciplines.
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC and physically handicapped candidates shall be as per M.P. Govt./University norms.

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalay (RDVV) provides undergraduate courses with a variety of specialisations. All UG level courses last three years, with the exception of B.J.C. (1 year), Integrated B.A. LL.B. (5 years), B.Pharm. (4 years), and B.P.Ed. (2 years).
The B.Sc. Hons. the course has two specialisations: microbiology and biotechnology, whereas the B.B.A. the course has two specialisations: hotel management and hospital administration.
Admission to UG level courses is through a university-conducted entrance examination. The final merit list is compiled using the candidates' scores from both the entrance test and their previous qualifying examination.
Applicants for B.Sc. (Pass), B.A. (Pass), B.Com. (Pass), and B.LIS courses do not need to take an admission exam.

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya provides a variety of Master's degree courses at the postgraduate level in many specialisation areas. All PG level courses last two years, with the exception of M.A. Population Education (1 year), M.L.I.Sc. (1 year), and B.C.A. (3 years).
RDVV offers the M.Sc. degree with 11 different specialisation subjects, whereas the M.A. degree has 16 possible specialisation subjects.
Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.A. Mass Communication, and M.J.C. programs must take a university-conducted entrance exam. The ultimate merit for these courses is determined by the candidates' scores in both the entrance test and their previous qualifying exams.
Eligible candidates are invited to counselling rounds for admission to B.Ed. courses. Admission to all other courses is based solely on the candidates' performance in their previous qualifying exams.

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya also offers a postgraduate Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. The M.B.A. program offers three separate specialisation subjects: Marketing Management, International Business, and Business Economics. The MBA courses last two years.
The application process for M.B.A. courses begins in mid-April, and all applicants must take an admission test administered by the university.

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya also provides M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in a variety of specialisations for research purposes. The M.Phil. program is provided in 24 distinct subjects of research, while the Ph.D. program is offered in ten different fields of study.

The University administers the Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) for admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs, which is held independently for each topic at the University Teaching Departments. Candidates that pass the interview exam are needed to attend an interview in order to be selected for the course.

For the M.Phil. courses, those who have qualified UGC / CSIR (JRF) examination NET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship holders shall be excluded from the entrance exam.
For the Ph.D. courses, individuals who have qualified in NET for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Foreign National with National / International like TWAS (Third World Academy of Science) will be excused from the entrance test.

The application fee for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses is:
Courses with merit mode entry cost Rs. 330.
Courses with entrance test admission - Rs. 500.
The application fee for M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses is Rs. 1000.
