SMVDU Admission 2025
Admission is based on both admission and merit, followed by SMVDU Direct Counselling. Applications for admission are accessible online. Entrance applications are available on their separate websites.
Students who wish to apply for B.Tech must have completed 10+2 with PCM from a recognised board or equivalent. They must also qualify for JEE Mains or CUET UG, followed by SMVDU Direct Counselling, JOSAA, or AIR (CRL).
Admission to B.Arch is based on either JEE Main or NATA scores. They must also have cleared 10+2 with PCM at 50%. Counselling is the same as for B.Tech.
SMVDU Admission Process 2025
- Applications are accepted online for a cost of INR 1,500. After passing the entrance exam, students must participate in an in-person interview for admission.
- They are also chosen based on their understanding of the issue and the suggestions they present.
- Applicants who have passed the GATE or NET exam are usually given precedence.

SMVDU Placement
SMVDU Katra has a training and placement unit that offers outstanding facilities to help graduates acquire jobs in top companies. The cell assists recruiters with pre-placement meetings, administering tests and interviews, and providing other campus team support. According to the report, around 23 recruiters engaged in the 2020 placement drive, the biggest number in comparison to previous years. Reputable recruiters picked more than 150 students. Infosys made the greatest number of placement offers. Other recruiters include TCS, ICICI Prudential, Wipro Ltd, ICICI Bank, Ericsson Global, and EZMATA Technologies.
SMVDU Scholarships
SMVDU offers scholarships to aspirant candidates. To be eligible for the scholarships, candidates must have a CGPA of at least 7.50 and no backlogs in each semester.
For B Tech:
Up to 30,000 AIR(CRL) in JEE Main: Full Tuition Fee Waiver for the First Five Semesters.
Above 50,000 and up to 1,00,000 AIR (CRL) in JEE (Mains): Full tuition fee free for the first three semesters.
For MBA:
- Above 90% in MAT/CMAT: Full tuition fee waiver for the first year and 50% tuition fee waiver for the second year.
- Between 85 and 90% in MAT/CMAT: Full tuition fee remission for the first year.
- Between 80 and 85% in MAT/CMAT: 50% tuition fee waiver for the first year.
Regarding BArch:
- AIR (CRL) in the JEE (Main) test (Paper II) Rank up to 500: Full tuition fee waiver for the first five semesters.
- The rank above 500 and up to 1,500: Full tuition fee waiver for the first four semesters.
