Shri Mata Vaishno Devi institution (SMVDU) is a state institution located in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. It was founded in 1999 and is recognised by the UGC.

SMVDU is placed among the top 100 engineering institutions and top 150 universities in the country by NIRF 2018, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. To be eligible for MBA enrolment, candidates must take the CAT, MAT, or CMAT for direct admission, or CUET PG if they do not qualify for the national entrance exams. After qualifying, the candidate will be invited to a group discussion, followed by a personal interview.

Ph.D. admissions are contingent on either qualifying for the UGC-NET/JRF/SLET or being admitted directly. Alternatively, applicants for University Entrance are shortlisted based on their past examination results.

• Students who have passed the JEE Mains exam are only eligible to apply for seats in NITs.
• Candidates who have passed the JEE Advanced exam can apply to any of the participating universities.
• Applicants can select as many options as they want while enrolling, in decreasing order.
• Students must remember to lock their preferences in order to be evaluated for admission based on the possibilities provided. Once locked, no changes may be made.
• There are a total of seven rounds for seat distribution in which all institutions participate.
• Finally, an acceptance fee must be paid if you accept the seat provisionally.
• Students must visit the nearest JoSAA centre for document verification.

JEE Main
