Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University is a law university so it offers only law courses. The admissions at TNDALU are done based on merit only for UG and PG programs. For PhD admissions, the university conducts its entrance if students haven’t appeared in national-level or state-level fellowship exams followed by an interview. TNDALU Undergraduate Admissions
There are a total of five undergraduate programs that are offered at TNDALU. These are integrated courses with law. Integrated programs are completed in five years. Admission to UG programs at TNDALU is determined by merit. One must have secured a minimum mark that the university has set to be eligible for UG admissions. TNDALU Postgraduate Admissions
TNDALU offers two postgraduate programs and these are LL.B and LLM. There is an eligibility criteria for these two programs also at the university. There is no entrance exam conducted for PG admissions at the university. The eligibility, duration, and fees of the offered PG programs are shown in the table below.

TNDALU PhD Admissions
Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University offers PhD degrees in a variety of legal fields. Those who have appeared for UGC-NET, CSIR, etc exams need not appear in the entrance conducted by the university. After the entrance, an interview is conducted with the students who have cleared the entrance exam. Candidates who have already appeared in other entrances will be called for an interview directly based on their eligibility. TNDALU Admissions Application Process
The admission process at Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University includes various steps. These steps are mentioned below.
- Registration process at TNDALU Website.: For registration, you need to enter your name, a valid email, and a contact number. The login credentials are sent to your registered number and email ID.
- Application form filling process. :Enter your personal details, your parent's details, academic details such as marks obtained in 10th, 12th, and graduation, and year of completing 10th, 12th, and graduation. You also need to enter the scores of UGC-NET, CSIR, etc exams if you are applying for the PhD program.
- Upload the important documents: A scanned copy of the documents must be uploaded as part of the online application process. Carefully read all the instructions as mentioned on the screen while filling out the applications. Also, you will have to upload your recent colored photograph and an image of your signature. There is a minimum and maximum size of the images that have been set by the university. If you find any difficulty in uploading the image or the image size is less or more than the specified size, then you can fix it from Paint, Microsoft Photo Viewer, etc.
- Choose the program: In whatever course you want to complete the graduation, post graduation, or PhD with, you may select programs and specific specializations that are also available for PG and PhD.
- Payment Process: Pay the application fee online with a credit card, debit card, net banking, etc.
Once you have completed your application and submitted it, you will receive a text and a confirmation email that you have successfully completed each and every stage of the application.
You have to wait for a few days as authorities will review your applications and if you meet the eligibility requirements, you will be called for the verification process at the university. In case you haven’t received any updates on your application, you may either visit the university or contact the email and numbers mentioned on the website. There have been cases when the applications of students have been rejected by the authorities. Students are advised to check each and every detail that they have filled out before submitting the form. Also, if the student has uploaded any wrong document then in this case, the application is rejected.
The list of documents that one has to submit at the admission cell during the verification process are:
- Matriculation and higher secondary mark sheets as evidence for date of birth.
- Application form printout
- Either a provisional or original degree has to be submitted
- Transfer and conduct certificate
- Community certificate in the specified format
- Certificate of special category
