BSc Nursing refers to a four-year undergraduate course whose main aim is to educate the student in the science and practice of nursing, management of patients, and running of hospitals. The program is spread over eight semesters and commences with the basis of knowledge in the field of biological and behavioral sciences, viz. Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Nutrition and Psychology.

As the course level advances they learn basic nursing topics like Medical-Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing. The school emphasizes real-life experience to a large extent by employing clinical postings, nursing labs and simulated activities to help make students gain real-life experience in the actual medical facility.

During the final semesters students will be exposed to the hospital settings and community health programs through the internship and research projects. There are electives and higher-order units in subjects such as Nursing Education, Nursing Administration and Advanced Clinical Practice, or students may elect to specialise with regard to their interests and the institute curriculum.
