Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are going to appear for the BSc Nursing Kerala admission should be citizens of India, whereas government quota seats should be for Kerala origin.

  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates can also apply, but under the NRI quota only. Age is 17 years as of 31st December 2025. The maximum age is 35 years and is not relaxable in any circumstance for candidates belonging to the reserved category.
  • For ANM/LHV Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing candidates, the age may vary as per the norms of the university.
  • Educationally, the candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board with major subjects being Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • General category candidates should have passed with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually. SEBC (OBC) candidates should have a minimum percentage of 45 in PCB, and SC/ST candidates should have a minimum of 40%.
  • The candidates should also be physically and mentally fit and produce a certificate of physical and mental fitness issued by a registered medical practitioner at the time of admission.

BSc Nursing Kerala Admission Process 2025

Government College of Nursing, Thiruvananthapuram, is a well-known college providing B.Sc. Nursing, under the regulations of Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). Admission is merit-based only, through the LBS Centre for Science and Technology. Students are chosen based on marks in 10+2, and seats are allotted through an online counselling program.
