GMAT 2025 Exam Syllabus
GMAT Focus Edition syllabus is categorized into three sections that are overall 2 hours and 15 minutes long. GMAT Focus syllabus consists of various topics spread across the following sections.
- Quantitative Aptitude Section
- Verbal Reasoning Section
- Data Insights Section
Previously, there were four sections and now the sections on the GMAT exam are three. Plus, the time frame for the exam has also reduced significantly.
GMAT Quantitative Reasoning Syllabus
There are 21 questions in the quantitative section, and candidates have 45 minutes to respond to all the questions. There will be multiple-choice answers for the objective-style questions. Problem-Solving questions in the Focus Edition GMAT Quantitative section assess applicants' ability to answer quantitative issues using analytical reasoning and logic.
GMAT Verbal Reasoning Syllabus
There will be 23 multiple-choice questions in this verbal skills segment. Reading comprehension and Critical Reasoning make up this section of GMAT Focus. GMAT 2025 Data Insights Section Syllabus
The following curriculum is used to test the Data Insights section of the Focus Edition in the third section of the GMAT exam.
- Data Sufficiency: It measures the candidates’ ability to examine a quantitative problem, identify which data is important, and determine at what point there is enough data to solve the problem.
- Multiple Sources of Reasoning: Data analysis from various sources (text, tables, graphics, or a combination of these) + discrepancy identification + inference + data relevance assessment
- Analysis of Tables
- Interpretation of Graphics = Relationship discovery + inference + interpretation of data from graphics (scatter plot, x/y graph, bar chart, pie chart, or statistical curve distribution).
- Two-part analyses consist of verbal, quantitative, or a mix of the two + assessing trade-offs + resolving simultaneous equations + establishing connections
This is a new portion on the GMAT Focus Edition syllabus, however it's essentially a condensed version of the Quantitative portion and Integrated Reasoning from the prior GMAT test. The applicants can use the curriculum provided above as a guide to prepare for the Data Insights Section.
