Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET-2025)

The 150-minute of IPU CET exam is administered online. The IPU CET for the B.Ed programme will also be held in Hindi, however the exam will only be offered in English. The 400-point exam will consist of 100 questions covering topics from the 12th grade, including math, computer science, general knowledge, and English.

  2. The IPU CET exam is administered offline, with 4 marks given for right answers and 1 mark taken away for wrong answers.

IPU CET Exam Pattern 2024

  1. IPU CET contains the programs that aren't covered in the National Level Tests.
  2. Exam patterns for these courses differ from those administered at the national level.
  3. The format of the centralized IPU CET test differs from that of the programs that accept national level exams like JEE Main, NEET, and others.

IPU CET 2024 Marking Scheme

There are one hundred objective-style questions on the test paper. There are four possible solutions for each question; only the best or most appropriate response should be chosen and noted on the OMR answer sheet.

IPU CET National Level Tests Exam Pattern

Instead of the IPU CET, IP University currently accepts students into a limited number of programs through a variety of National Level Tests. The programs and accompanying National Level Tests are listed below: JEE Main Paper I for B.Tech students is available both online and offline. The following describes the JEE Main Paper 1 exam pattern, according the JEE Main Brochure:

JEE Main Paper I Exam Pattern

  1. Sections – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  2. Number of Questions – 90 questions with each section comprising 30 questions each.
  3. Nature of Questions – Objective
  4. Exam Mode – Online and Offline
  5. Exam Duration – 3 hours | For candidates with 40% disability- 4 hours
  6. Marking Scheme – Each question carries 4 marks. For each incorrect answer, -1 mark will be deducted.

MBA – CAT

The Common Application Test (CAT) is an online assessment tool used to assess candidates' quantitative, verbal/reading, data interpretation, and reasoning skills.

  1. Sections – 3 (Verbal & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude)
  2. Number of Questions – 100
  3. Total Marks – 300
  4. Duration of Exam – 180 minutes
  5. Language – English
  6. Marking Scheme – +3 (correct answer), -1 (incorrect answer)
