Candidates should have checked the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. The JCECE eligibility includes residential criteria, educational criteria, age limit, and Physical criteria.
The JCECE 2025 eligibility criteria are mentioned below:
- Residential Criteria: The applicant must be required to be citizen of India and Local/ permanent resident of Jharkhand. The applicant should have to submit/show permanent or local resident certificate in proper format in original at the time of counselling/ admission, issued by the authority.

- Age Limit Criteria : BSc (Hons) Agriculture, BSc (Hons) Forestry/ BSc (Hons) Horticulture/ B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering/ B.Tech (Dairy Technology)/ BFSc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science)- applicant must be aged between 17 years and 22 years on the 1st July of the academic year.
There shall be a relaxation of maximum age by 5 years for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Class Candidates.
- Physical Criteria : Medical checkup of applicants recommended for admission in all courses will be done by the Board or Institute and after Check-Up, only medically fit applicants will be treated as eligible for admission.
