JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal campuses will consider entrance examination scores for admission. Candidates must prepare with syllabus for admission into their MD/ MS/ MDS/ Integrated 6-year M.Ch curriculums. The curriculum will be identical to that of the prior year. Subjects and themes related to preclinical, paraclinical, and clinical medicine will be covered in the MD course admission syllabus. Nonetheless, Dental Science and Basic Clinical Science subjects will be covered in the MDS admission. Questions pertaining to physiology, microbiology, gynecology, biomolecules, obstetrics, pediatrics, and other fields will be posed to the students. For efficient preparation, students might consult the Anatomy Concept Book and the INI CET Essence texts.

Candidates must go through all the topics related to Physics, Chemistry and Biology from the syllabi of class 11 and 12, thoroughly to secure a good score in the JIPMER entrance examination. As per JIPMER exam pattern, all three subjects have equal weightage of the subjects: Logical and quantitative reasoning, and English Language and comprehension.

In the entrance examination of JIPMER, the number of questions asked is 200 and all of these questions are expected to be objective. The examination will be computer based.
