The qualifying class for JKCET 2024 consists of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as required courses in the 10+2 curriculum. For general candidates, the minimum qualifying score to sit for the JKCET 2024 test is 45% of the total, while for SC and ST candidates, it is 40%.
JKCET 2024 Qualification Standards
- The JKCET 2024 application is only open to applicants who are Jammu and Kashmir State permanent citizens.
- The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC or 10+2) or an equivalent test from an accredited board or university must have been passed by the candidate.
- The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) minimum aggregate score for an Open Merit applicant is 45% (40% for candidates in restricted categories).
JKCET 2024 Minimum Educational Qualification
- English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are the required disciplines for the qualifying test that students must pass in order to be admitted into the Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) program.
- English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are the core disciplines of the qualifying test that applicants must pass in order to be admitted into medical programs including MBBS, BDS, Physiotherapy, and BAMS/BUMS.
- Students that want to take the qualification test (HSC) may also apply for JKCET 2024.
- If they are chosen, these students must bring their original mark sheets to the counselling session. A student will not be considered for admission if they are unable to receive the required minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination.
JKCET 2024 Age Criteria
- There is no minimum or maximum age requirement to take the JKCET 2024 test.
JKCET 2024 Eligibility for Open Merit Candidates
- Candidates that have enrolled as TFW or P&B candidates are known as Open Merit candidates.
- In order to be admitted to the MBBS and BDS programs, candidates must have independently completed the 10+2 exams in the primary disciplines of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- In the qualifying test, the candidate's cumulative marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology had to be at least 50%.
- A candidate must also receive at least 50% of the possible points in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in JKCET 2024 in order to be listed on the merit list created by the appropriate authorities.
JKCET 2024 Eligibility for Reserved Category Candidates (SC/ST/Other Backward Classes)
- In the 10+2 exams, a reserved category student must receive at least 40% of the possible points in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- In addition, to be included in the merit list, a student must receive at least 40% in the combined categories of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the JKCET 2024 exam.
