PGIMER MD/ MS course admission is done through INI CET 2025 examination. The eligibility criteria have been pre-determined by AIIMS, New Delhi. INI CET 2025 eligibility criteria will remain the same as in the previous year. The Institute has not set any minimum or maximum age limit Students must have completed the compulsory rotating Internship/ practical training on or earlier than January 31, 2025. All the Indian, foreign, and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI). For admission to MD/ MS courses in PGIMER, Chandigarh, students must have completed an MBBS/ BDS degree. The qualifying marks set for the OBC/ EWS categories are 55% aggregate and 5% relaxation for the reserved categories.
Nationality
To appear in PGIMER 2025 examination, both Indian and foreign nationals are eligible to appear. Apart from these, the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)/ PCO card holders are also eligible to appear in the exam.
Age Limit
The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has not mandated any minimum or maximum age limit.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates for admission into MD/ MS courses, students must have completed an MBBS or a BDS degree from an accredited institution. The OBC/ EWS categories must have obtained 55% aggregate marks and a 50% aggregate mark is required for those in SC/ ST categories.
Internship Criteria
All the students must have completed the 12 months of mandatory rotating practical training or the internship period on January 31, 2025 or before. Students completing their training period/ internship after the aforementioned date will not be eligible to sit for INI CET 2025 exam.
Foreign Nationals Eligibility Criteria
For Foreign nationals, the same MBBS or a BDS degree is required for admission purposes. Like Indian nationals, candidates also need to complete the 12 months of mandatory rotating practical training or the internship on or earlier than January 31, 2025. The qualifying mark is the same for all categories of candidates and is set as 55%. Also, students must submit the respective No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
Overseas Citizen of India (OCI/PO) Eligibility
Candidates of this category must obtain the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards only after 04.03.2021. The student's date of birth must be after 04.03.2021.
