Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University has introduced the GCAS portal for those students who wish to get admitted to the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs for the academic year 2024-25. The GCAS portal, which is mandatory registration, is the tool through which all candidates have to gain access to the university's degree programs. When students register on the GCAS Portal, they can then follow the BAOU website admission link to fill out the rest of the admission form.
The final date for UG/PG courses registration via GCAS is extended to 02/06/2024. Nevertheless, the registration process for BAOU students will remain open even after this date. The admission process will only be considered complete after filling out the course fee and other required details on the BAOU portal.
ABC ID Requirement: according to UGC directives, it becomes compulsory for an Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID to be a part of the admission procedure. Do you not have an ABC ID? You can generate one by visiting the link provided. For this process, you will need your Aadhaar card linked to your mobile number.. http://ums.baou.edu.in/abc-id/
Students will be assigned the center of their choice, but in case the chosen center is full, the nearest center will be allocated. The reporting center must be contacted for study materials, books and other related work.
Admission Steps for UG/PG Programs:
- Register on the GCAS portal.
- Finish the admissions procedure on the BAOU portal after two hours.
For certificate, diploma, and vocational courses, students must generate a ePIN before applying for admission.
