Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU) provides a variety of scholarships in order to help students who might otherwise struggle with financial problems to complete their studies. This system of scholarships is intended to assist students based on their both academic performance and financial need. Thus, scholarships are covered to provide financial relief to students from economically weaker section that may otherwise enter to study BAOU. This will serve as a source of motivation for them to do better in their studies.
The college awards scholarships for students who are applying for the post-matric scholarship in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Gujarat government. In addition to that, the government provides certain scholarships to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) students which are meant to promote the educational equity and access for these communities.
The application process for these scholarships is quite simple. Students from SC, ST, and Other Backward Classes (OBC) can apply through the Digital Gujarat portal, a government platform created to facilitate the smooth processing of scholarship applications. The necessary documents such as proof of financial need and academic performance must be submitted for evaluation.
After the scholarship is granted, the money is transferred directly into the student's bank account, making this a trouble-free process. These ones present great assistance to the learners, thanks to which learners can remain focused and educationally benefit from BAOU as much as possible.
