Manipur MBBS Admission

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is a 5.5-year undergraduate course that involves a one-year compulsory internship. MBBS provides the students with a deep understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and clinical practices to prepare students ready as licensed medical professionals. Manipur MBBS Admission is mostly conducted on the basis of the NEET UG entrance exam, which is the only eligible entrance exam for all government and private colleges offering the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery program throughout the state. • To be eligible, an applicant must have cleared his 10+2 or any other exam of equal level, having Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as principal subjects. General category students must have a minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB), whereas SC/ST/OBC students require a minimum of 40% in PCB.
• To be eligible for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery colleges in India and in Manipur, NEET UG score is mandatory. NEET is the only medical college entrance test accepted by all medical colleges in the state.
• The candidates should be either permanent residents of Manipur or should have at least managed to finish their Class 10 and/or Class 12 education in a well-recognized board, including the Manipur Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, or ICSE, etc.
• The minimum age of admission is 17 years by December 31 of the year that he or she is admitted. According to the present NEET bylaw, the maximum age restriction is removed with regard to MBBS admission.

The MBBS admission in the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, is based on two quotas, including the State Quota (85%) and the All India Quota (15%). The counselling process on the state level is taken up by the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Manipur, whereas the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), to which 15 per cent All India Quota belongs, is assigned the task of seat allocation. There is the following step-by-step process of admission:

Step 1: Every candidate is expected to take the NEET UG exam, which is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). In a bid to apply, applicants are to access the official NEET website, fill in the application form with the right personal and education information, scan the required documents, and pay the fee online.

Step 2: After that, the students will be expected to appear in the NEET UG exam on the specified date. On the examination day, they are expected to adhere to instructions and carry both the admission card and valid photo identification, and go to the examination facility.

Step 3: As soon as the NEET UG score list is declared, the applicants will have to log on to the NTA site and download the scorecard.
