MBBS is an undergraduate course in medicine for 5.5 years, including a one-year compulsory rotating internship. To apply for MBBS admission in Odisha, the candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • The candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.
  • They should have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in PCB. 40% marks for ST/ SC/ OBC category candidates and 45% for PwD category.
  • The candidates should have attained the age of 17 years.
  • The candidates must be a native of Odisha or should be a child of All India Civil Service Officer serving in the state of Odisha.

Odisha MBBS Admission Process 2025

The MBBS admission in Odisha is based on NEET-UG scores. The NEET-UG qualified candidates have to further participate in Odisha MBBS/ BDS counseling conducted by the OJEE Cell to get admission in an MBBS college. The admission process is explained below:

 

Counseling Registration - The Odisha domicile candidates who have qualified for NEET UG will have to register for the Odisha MBBS counseling process. They will have to visit the OJEE website i.e., www.ojee.nic, and register for MBBS/ BDS admission selection. The candidates will be required to provide all the details, upload the documents, and pay the registration fees.

 

Merit List - OJEE will release the state merit list on its official website, based on the candidates registered.

 

Choice Filling and Locking - The candidates whose names are on the merit list can provide their college and course preferences.

 

Provisional Allotment - The first allotment list will be released based on the candidate’s NEET rank, their college preference, and the availability of seats.

 

Admission - The candidates who have been allotted a seat can download the allotment letter and will have to report to the OJEE Cell. They will have to get their documents verified and pay the admission fees to confirm their admission.

 

Mop-Up Round - The allotment list will continue to be released until and unless all the seats under the state quota are filled.
