Normalization Procedure

The AIIMS MBBS exam will be administered in two shifts: morning and evening. This means that in order to ascertain the percentiles of the candidates who appeared in both shifts, the normalizing procedure will be used. This procedure will be taken into account for determining the AIIMS score and cutoff point. Percentiles will determine how it is accepted.

Percentile Score

Based on the candidate's performance in the exam during both shifts, the percentile score will be determined. Essentially, for every group (shift) of candidates, the marks that they have received will be translated into a scale that goes from 100 to 0.

This score represents the proportion of candidates who completed the test with a score at or below that specific percentile. The grades that fall between the top and lowest scores will also be converted to the relevant percentiles.
