The format of the AIIMS MBBS 2025 exam is designed to assess applicants' ability and overall comprehension for admission to this esteemed medical school. The exam, which will be administered offline using pen and paper, will include topics including English, physics, chemistry, and biology. A total of 200 multiple-choice questions will be presented to candidates in order to assess their knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. In order to ensure a thorough evaluation of applicant proficiency, the marking scheme consists of four marks for each correct answer and a reduction of one mark for each erroneous response.

Applicants need to review the AIIMS MBBS 2025 Exam Schedule
  1. Exam Mode: The exam will be administered offline using pen and paper.
  2. Exam time: Three hours and twenty minutes will pass.
  3. Language: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Odia, Gujarati, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Punjabi shall be the languages used in the question paper.
  4. Type of Question: The exam will consist of multiple choice questions.
  5. Total Marks: There will be 720 marks in the AIIMS MBBS (NEET) 2025 exam paper.
  6. Exam question count: There will be 200 questions in total, of which 180 are required and of which Section B will include choices.
  7. Marking Scheme: Four marks will be given for each right response.
  8. Negative Marking: For each incorrect response, one mark will be subtracted.

Section wise exam pattern

Section A
  1. The questions will be on multiple choice type questions.
  2. Correct answer contains +4 marks.
  3. The incorrect answer will be given -1 marks.
  4. For unanswered questions, no marks will be deducted.
Section B
  1. Candidates need to attempt any 10 questions out of 15 questions given.
  2. The correct answer contains +4 marks.
  3. The incorrect answer contains -1 marks.
  4. For unanswered questions, no marks will be deducted.

NOTE

  • The question paper will be divided into 4 parts.
  • Each part will be divided into 50 questions with a 45- minute duration.
  • The paper will consist of 200 questions of 180 minute duration as published in prospectus.
  • There will be a sequence in which each part will be enabled to view/ answer questions. Access to the visible active part to view/ answer will be disabled once the allotted time of 45 minutes expires and the next part will be automatically after the respective 45 minutes. After lapse of 45*4=180 minutes examination will be submitted automatically.
  • Each part will appear one by one for 45 minutes at one time only. Candidates will be allowed only to attempt questions in the currently active part which will remain enabled for its 45-minute duration.
