The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the CBSE Class 12 board exams with a changed exam pattern. The question papers will have more number of MCQs and more questions of competency level. Thus, there will be fewer short- and long-answer questions compared to the exams from previous years. These changes are introduced because of the need to move from rote learning to learning focused on developing the creative and critical thinking ability of the student. These changes have been introduced as per the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
CBSE has also released the subject-wise marks distribution for Class 12 for the upcoming board exam 2025. Alongside, the board has mentioned maximum marks for the written examination and practical/project/internal assessment for the session 2024-25.
