Common University Entrance Test (CUET-2025)

National exam for UG, PG, and research admissions in central universities across India.

NTA started conducting CUET exam in hybrid mode, i.e., in both offline and CBT mode in the year 2024. CUET 2025 exam will be conducted on different days in three shifts. Candidates will be asked multiple choice-based questions in the examination. There will be Sections 1A, 1B, 2, and 3. The weightage of the first three sections is 50 questions each and 60 in Section 3. However, aspirants need to answer 40 out of 50 and 50 out of 60 questions section-wise. Candidates were given the option to appear for the test in any of the 13 specified languages. The detailed CUET 2025 exam pattern is detailed below.

Mode of CUET 2025 Examination

Since 2024, NTA started to conduct CUET 2025 exam in a hybrid mode, i.e., online and as a computer-based test. The authority decided to maintain the flexibility of students who were unable to travel to exam centers due to long distances.

CUET 2025 Examination Duration

Candidates will be allotted 2 hours in three slots to complete the CUET 2025 examination. There will be a sectional time limit of 45 minutes each in Sections 1A, 1B, and 2. In Section 3, students will be allotted a total of 60 minutes.

Medium of CUET 2025 Examination

Students can appear for CUET exam in any of the 13 languages list, viz., Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

CUET 2025 Question Paper Pattern

The distribution of questions and marks in all four sections of CUET 2025 examination are as follows:

In Domain-specific subjects like Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science / Informatics Practices, Chemistry, and Mathematics /Applied Mathematics, the duration will be 60 Minutes.
