Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET)

A candidate must possess an MBBS degree for MD/MS and a BDS degree for MDS courses of a University recognized by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India and must have completed the required period of 12 months of compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training on or before 31st January 2025

While some of the INI CET 2024 exam questions seemed easy, the options were difficult and confusing. Pharmacology and Anatomy were comparatively rigid.

NEET PG and INI CET exams differ in acceptance rates and competition as both exams are equally challenging; NEET PG has wider acceptance due to more participating colleges. On the other hand, INI CET offers access to a select few institutions, making competition more challenging for aspirants

3 Years Junior Residents of MD (three-year tenure period) will be paid a basic pay of Rs. 56,100/- per month plus NPA and other allowances as admissible under the rules in the first year of the residency as per 7th CPC as applicable. The basic pay for the second and third years would be Rs. 57,800/- and Rs.

The INI-CET January 2025 session offers 1,233 seats across multiple disciplines, such as Anaesthesiology, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, Radiodiagnosis, Surgery, and more. These seats are distributed among AIIMS institutions and top medical institutes like PGIMER, NIMHANS, and SCTIMST.

Nearly 60,000 candidates appear in the AIIMS INICET each year. The INICET is a highly competitive exam, with very few candidates making it to the final admission process owing to the few seats.

Candidates have to score the minimum cut off to qualify for the exam. The qualifying cut-off for general category candidates is 50t,h, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 45th. The cut-off score is released for each session of INI CET counselling.

In the case of candidates deputed/sponsored by a medical college affiliated with a university and recognized by the Medical Council of India, the deputation/ sponsorship certificate signed by the medical college's principal concerned shall only be accepted.

There is no limit to the number of attempts for a candidate. Candidates can appear in INI CET as often as they want. There is no limit to the nationality of a candidate. All Indian, Foreign, OCI and NRI candidates can appear in the exam.

All candidates must have completed their MBBS or BDS from an NMC/MCI-recognized College/University. All candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in their qualifying exam.
