NVS test is conducted by The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, for admission into class 6. The test is held on an All India basis on a block and district level every year. The authority makes the question paper to maintain the flexibility between both the urban and rural students. The test is conducted and designed by the CBSE Board. Previously, it was administered by the NCERT. About 75% of seats are reserved for the rural-based candidates. Also, the Lateral Entry test is conducted for admission into classes 9 and 11. The authority has kept 1/3rd of seats reserved for female candidates and 27% for OBC category candidates. The authority announced NVS 2025 class 6th selection test dates as follows:
- NVS 2025 application process commenced on July 16, 2024.
- The last date to register for NVS 2025 application form has been extended from September 16 to September 23, 2024.
- NVS 2025 admit cards for the Phase 1 and 2 examinations will be released in the second week of October 2024 and the third week of December 2024 respectively.
- NVS 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions. The Session 1 and 2 exam dates are January 18 and April 12, 2025 respectively.
- NVS 2025 answer keys will be available one week after the exam concludes.
- The results of NVS 2025 exam 1 and 2 is expected by March 2025 and May 2025 respectively.
