KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (GIT), located in Belgaum, Karnataka was established in the year 1979 under Karnataka Law Society. The institute was established in 1921 and was named Gogte Institute of Technology after Raosaheb Gogte an industrialist to produce the required number of technical professionals as the country was in need. The College is associated with the VTU and is an autonomous institution as well. GIT has approved members who are AICTE, UGC, ‘A’ Grade NAAC, and NBA for the quality education it offers.
GIT provides technology, science, architecture, arts, business administration, and computer application programs at the undergraduate level namely B.Tech, B.Sc. (Honors), B.Arch., MBA, and MCA, and at the postgraduate level research programs in various disciplines. The campus occupies an area of 23 acres and contains the most technologically equipped laboratories, centers for innovation, and research facilities.
