Graduate Record Examinations (GRE-2025)

To apply for the GRE 2025, candidates are required to register themselves on the official site of the authority and apply for the application form. To apply for the GRE exam, candidates can follow the below mentioned steps:

How to apply

Creating an ETS account

Candidates will need to create an ETS account at http://www.ets.org/mygre to do the following:

• Register for a GRE test
• Sign up for the free GRE search services
• Purchases test preparation materials
• View, change or cancel registration
• View candidates score
• Order additional score reports
• Access the free GRE diagnostic service

Online Registration

• Candidates need to have an ETS account to register online.
• Register at least two calendar days before their preferred test dates.

Phone Registration

• Candidates can call the regional registration centre (RRC), which is ‘Prometric’ located in Gurgaon, Haryana.
• The phone number is 01-124-4147700.
• The call must be made at least two business days before candidates' preferred test date.
• A confirmation number, reporting time, and the test centre address will be provided to candidates when they make the call for registration.
• Candidates can make the payment online.

ID Requirements

• Testing within your country of citizenship- passport with name, photograph and signature.
• Testing outside your country of citizenship- they must present a valid passport with their name, photograph, and signature as their primary ID.

Fee payment

Fees are stated in US Dollars, effective July 2023. GRE exam fee in India, the application fee for the GRE general test is Rs. 22,550 INR for Indian students, if candidates want to change the centre or reschedule the test, they would be required to pay an extra fee or the same.

Refund policy

• If candidates cancel their registration on late than four days before their test date, they will automatically receive a refund equivalent to half of the test fee.
• The reminder of their payment will be retained to cover expenses for processing their registration and holding space at the test centre.
