The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a crucial step for individuals aspiring to pursue graduate-level education designed by the Educational Testing Services (ETS). As per the new GRE format, the total exam duration is now reduced from 4 hours to just 1 hour 58 minutes.
Latest changes in the NEW GRE format
ETS has introduced many changes in the GRE exam 2025, which are listed below
- Registration services for the GRE General Test and GRE Subject Tests at prometric testing locations will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. Registration services for at Home and additional testing locations outside of the prometric test centre network will not be affected.
- Taking the GRE General Test at home is a safe and convenient option for students who prefer to take their test at home rather than at a test centre. The test is available worldwide in all locations where the GRE General test is normally available.
- TOEFL test takers who do not currently have a GRE account may now use their TOEFL credentials to login and register for GRE General Test or Subject Test for the first time.
