The Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) 2025 cut-off marks are influenced by several key factors that determine the eligibility and selection of candidates for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program at the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). These factors include:

Number of Applicants: The total number of candidates appearing for SEED directly impacts the cut-off marks. A higher number of applicants can lead to increased competition, potentially raising the cut-off threshold.

Exam Difficulty Level: The complexity and difficulty level of the SEED question paper for a given year play a crucial role. If the exam is perceived as more challenging, the cut-off marks may be adjusted accordingly to reflect the overall performance of candidates.

Seat Availability: SID offers a total of 207 seats across various specializations, with 180 for Indian students and 27 for international candidates. The distribution of these seats influences the cutoff.

Performance of Candidates: The overall performance metrics, including the highest and average scores obtained by candidates in SEED, are considered. Exceptional performance by a majority can elevate the cut-off marks.

SEED 2025 Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for SEED 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Academic Qualifications

• For General Category: Completion of 10+2 (or equivalent) in any stream (Science, Commerce, Arts) from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• For SC/ST Category: Completion of 10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 45% aggregate marks.
• Alternative Qualification: A 10+3 diploma approved by the State Board of Technical Education with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates).
• For Final Year Students: Candidates appearing for their final examinations in 2025 are also eligible to apply, provided their results are declared by June of the admission year.

Nationality

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for SEED 2025.

Age Limit

There is no age limit or restriction on the number of attempts for SEED 2025. 

SEED 2025 Expected Cutoff

Although SEED does not have a fixed cutoff pattern, the expected cutoff for SEED 2025 could be in the range of 55% - 65% of the total marks based on previous years’ data.

After clearing SEED 2025, candidates move on to the Portfolio Review and PRPI rounds, where the final selection is determined.
