PUMBA (Savitribai Phule Pune University's Department of Management Sciences), founded in 1971, is one of India's first management schools located in Pune, Maharashtra. It offers BBA, MBA, executive MBA and PhD courses. The institute accepts scores from national-level entrance exams such as MHT-CET, CAT, ATMA and CMAT for admission to its MBA programs.

The basic eligibility for admission to the courses is at least 50% aggregate in graduation. The institute is recognised by UGC and is accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC. PUMBA also maintains a strong placement record, with the highest package reaching INR 19 LPA during the 2024 placement drive. Top recruiters include Abbott, Novartis, Pfizer, ICICI and Axis.

CAT 2025 registration started on 1 August, 2025, (10:00 AM), and the window will remain open until 13 September, 2025, (till 5:00 PM). Candidates will be able to download their admit cards between 5 November and 30 November, 2025. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 30 November 2025. The results are expected to be declared in the first week of January 2026. The CAT registration fee has been increased to INR 2,600 for General category candidates and INR 1,300 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.

PUMBA Courses and Fees 2025

PUMBA offers BBA , MBA, Executive MBA and PhD. courses. Admission to the courses is based on the marks scored in exams like MHT-CET, CAT, CMAT and ATMA for MBA and PET, UGC- NET, GATE, and GPAT for PhD. The basic eligibility criteria is 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 and UG for admission to the UG and PG courses, respectively, and for the PhD. The course is post-graduation or M.Phil. PUMBA Admission 2025

Admission to UG, PG, and PhD courses at PUMBA is through online mode. The admission for the PG courses is entrance-based, i.e., it depends upon the score secured in MHT-CET, CAT, ATMA and CMAT exams.

• Application Form: Candidates must visit the official website of PUMA and fill out the online application form available with accurate personal and academic details.
• Selection at PUMBA: Based on the scores secured in the qualifying exams, i.e, 10+2 for UG admission and graduation for PG admission, a merit list is being prepared for each course. Those students who qualify for the merit list are called for admission. For the PhD admission, a PI round is being conducted after the entrance exam.
• Final Selection at PUMBA: The final selected candidates are asked to submit the original documents and admission fees.

• Notification Release: The official CAT 2025 notification was released by IIM Kozhikode on July 27, 2025.Registration Start Date: The online registration window opened on August 1, 2025.
• Last Date to Apply: Candidates must complete their registration by 13 September 2025.

How to Register:

• Registration is online only via the official CAT portal.
• A valid and unique email ID and mobile number are mandatory to begin the registration process.
• Upon registration, candidates will receive a User ID and Password to log in and complete the application form.

Important Guidelines:

• Candidates can fill the form in multiple sessions — progress will be saved automatically.
• Double-check all details before paying the application fee, as no edits will be allowed after payment.
• Incomplete or incorrect information may lead to immediate rejection of the application.
• SC/ST/PwD candidates must upload valid category certificates during registration. Category changes are not allowed post-registration.
• A correction window will be provided after registration closes, but only for limited time.
