About Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai

Great Lakes Institute of Management, also known as GLIM Chennai, is one of India’s leading business schools. Established in 2004, the institute is accredited by AMBA, AACSB, SAQS and NBA and approved by AICTE. GLIM Chennai offers management programs, including its flagship PGPM and PGDM courses. The institute was ranked 34th under the Management category by NIRF in 2024. Admissions are based on merit and entrance exams, such as XAT, CAT, GMAT or NMAT, followed by a personal interview.

 

Great Lakes recorded impressive placements in 2024, with the PGDM and PGPM batches achieving 100% and 90%, respectively. The highest package offered to PGPM graduates was INR 39.31 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 17.3 LPA. Some of the top recruiters were Accenture, Deloitte, Infosys and TCS.

 

CAT 2025 exam is expected to begin with the release of the official notification on 30 July 2025 (tentative). The registration process will start in the first week of August 2025, and candidates will have time to apply until the third week of September 2025 (by 5 PM). A correction window for the application form will be available in the fourth week of September 2025. The admit card is expected to be released in the first week of November 2025, while the CAT 2025 exam is tentatively scheduled for 30 November 2025. The answer key and response sheet will be released in the first week of December 2025, and candidates will be able to challenge the answer key within the same week. The result is likely to be declared between the last week of December 2025 or the first week of January 2026.
