Nagpur Institute of Technology (NIT) is known as its self-financed engineering college, located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. It was established in 2008 and is affiliated with Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur.

It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Nagpur Institute of Technology (NIT) provides various courses to those students who are interested in studying engineering or management. For B.E./B.Tech in engineering, students must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks and pass entrance exams such as JEE Main or MHT CET. The duration of the course is 4 years. 

NIT Nagpur Admission 2025

NIT provides different undergraduate programs such as computer science and engineering, information technology, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and electrical engineering. For B.Tech programs, the minimum qualification is 10+2 with physics, mathematics, and any one of chemistry/ biology/ biotechnology with 50% marks.

Admission process

Application for admission to Nagpur Institute of Technology can be submitted online. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech course must apply for MHT-CET through the official website.

For applying the application form, MHT-CET candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps:

• Visit the official website of DTE
• Candidates need to fill their personal details, address
• Upload the scanned copies of the required documents.
• For the application fee, candidates should make a payment of INR 800 (INR 600 for SC/ST/PWD candidates) through the online system only.
• Take the printout of the form for the verification and FCs.
