The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has issued a significant announcement for candidates and institutions participating in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for various undergraduate and postgraduate technical courses for the 2025–26 academic session.

In CAP Round 2, if a candidate is allotted a seat from among their top three choices, the seat will be automatically frozen, and the candidate must confirm it within the given timeframe; failure to do so will result in exclusion from further rounds. In CAP Round 3, if the seat is allotted within the first six preferences, it will also be frozen automatically, and the candidate must confirm it promptly to avoid being eliminated from subsequent rounds.

CAP Round 4 is the final and conclusive round of allotment, with no changes allowed afterward, and candidates must accept their admission as instructed. Candidates are strongly advised to thoroughly read all rules before submitting their preferences, while institutions should ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information provided to students. It is important for candidates to regularly check the official CET Cell portal for updates, allotment schedules, and key deadlines throughout the CAP process.
