HPCET 2025 Exam Pattern

The HPCET 2025 exam pattern will be available on the official Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) website. The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen-and-paper-based) at various centers, featuring multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The number of questions and total marks will differ based on the program. For B.Tech and B.Pharm, the exam will have 150 questions worth 600 marks, lasting 3 hours 15 minutes. The MCA will have 100 questions carrying a total of 400 marks with a time of 2 hours. MBA contains 75 questions, carrying 300 marks. Duration is for 2 hours. The marks obtained are marked according to +4 for the right answer, and -1 marks for incorrect and 0 for unattempted questions.

There are three papers for the three-month course: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. For each subject, there will be two sections. For MCA, the exam will consist of four sections of Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, and Computer Awareness. MBA exams for the candidates are Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation, and Quantitative Ability. HPCET 2025 Results

The result of HPCET 2025 will be released online on himtu.ac.in. Through the HPCET result 2025, the scores and ranks achieved by the candidates in the entrance examination will be released. • Difficulty Level Of Paper: The difficulty level of the paper plays a vital role when determining the Cut Off marks. If the paper is difficult, the HPCET Cut Off will decrease and vice versa.
• Number Of Vacancies: The number of vacancies will determine the number of candidates who can be selected. Since the vacancies are not that colossal, it results in a higher Cut Off. The Cut Off will decrease if there are more vacancies.

HPCET 2025 Counselling Process

Counselling dates for HPCET 2025 shall be released through online mode. Every eligible candidate would be required to seek admission in BTech courses conducted by the State's participating institutes through HPCET counselling 2025. While seeking the counselling process under HPCET, the applicant has to make a registration, to fill up an application form along with uploading his documents and fees online through net banking/ credit card/debit card. Next, the chosen colleges and the courses in order of priority have to be selected by each candidate. Allotment shall be done, strictly on ranking basis in counselling venues offline after the candidate submission. Seat availability, category along with preferences the allotment list shall be carried out based upon HPCET 2025 rank. Such allotment being made shall become invalid if within the stipulated date, that particular candidate cannot confirm his admissions.

• Counselling Registration: The students need to check the official website first and then click on the link for the counselling registration process. With basic details, students will have to register for the counselling process. After the counselling registration, the student has to provide all the details about personal life, academic records, and other contact information.
• Uploading Documents: Then, the applicants will have to upload a passport-size photograph and their signature as per the official norms. The scanned images should be of a file size of less than 50KB for a photograph and 30KB for a signature. Both images must be in a format of jpg/ jpeg.
• Payment of Fee: Candidates with no valid HPCET 2025 score shall have to pay the counselling fee of INR 1600 (for General/ EWS/ OBC category) or INR 800 (for SC/ ST and BPL/ IRDP candidates) as counseling fee. Payment will be through net banking/credit card/ debit card online.
• Choice Filling: Once the fee is paid, the candidates will have to fill their choices of colleges and courses in the order of preference. It is important to be careful about the order of preference since it will be taken into account during the allotment.
