Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test for MSc (IIT JAM)

After the exam, the IIT JAM Result will be available at https://joaps.iitg.ac.in. Candidates can download their score card using their enrollment ID and Email ID. The IIT JAM test for the academic year 2025–2026 will be conducted on February 2, 2025, at around 100 test centers across the nation. It is expected that about 100,000 candidates will sit for this test. IIT JAM will admit students to master's degree courses in 23 IITs, NITs, and institutions sharing JAM results, for nearly 3,000 seats. Along with the declaration of the JAM 2025 results, IIT Delhi will declare the merit list of top scorers on March 19, 2025, on the official website, jam2025.iitd.ac.in.

Steps to Download IIT JAM 2025 Results

The JAM 2025 Results will be announced online at the official website. Candidates can directly check and download their IIT JAM results 2025 from the IIT Delhi JAM website. Follow the simple steps given below to check IIT JAM 2025 results. The steps are given below -

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the official IIT JAM 2025 website.
2. Click on the Result Link: Find and click on the link that says “IIT JAM 2025 Results.”
3. Log In to Your Account: Enter your Enrollment ID and Password in the login section.
4. Check Your Result: After logging in, the IIT JAM 2025 result will appear on the screen.
5. Download the Result: Click on the Download button to save your result as a PDF.
6. Print Your Result: Take a printout for future reference.

 IIT JAM 2025 Tie-Breaking Criteria

The tie-break rule for candidates securing the same total score in a Test Paper will be determined in the following order: the candidate with lower negative marks will be given priority; secondly, the NAT scores will be taken into account; then, thirdly, the MSQ marks will be considered; fourthly, the scores in the two-mark questions will be compared; and lastly, the scores in the two-mark NAT will be used. If the tie still remains, the date of birth will be used as a criterion, and the older candidate will be given a higher rank. 

• Lower negative marks
• NAT marks - Numerical Answer Type questions
• MSQ marks - Multiple Select Questions
• Score in 2 marks questions
• Score in 2 marks NAT
• If the tie still continues after the above criteria, Date of Birth (DOB) will be taken into consideration, and the older candidate will get a better rank.

IIT JAM 2025 Merit List

An All India Merit List will be prepared for every Test Paper on the basis of All India Rank (AIR). The placement of candidates in this Merit List will depend upon the combined number of seats per category (GEN/ OBC-NCL/ EWS/ SC/ ST/ PwD) available for a given subject. Qualified Candidates thus identified will be entitled to apply for admission to the concerned academic courses.

• The All India Merit List will be prepared for each Test Paper based on AIR.
• The number of candidates selected for the Merit List shall depend upon the number of seats available in each category GEN/ OBC-NCL/ EWS/ SC/ ST/ PwD under that particular subject.
• All such candidates will be deemed Qualified Candidates, who may seek admission in the said programs.

IIT JAM 2025 Scorecard

The JAM 2025 Scorecard includes the All India Rank (AIR) and the score obtained by the candidate. The IIT JAM scorecard will be available for download from March 25, 2025, to July 31, 2025, on the JAM 2025 website for candidates who have been shortlisted. 1. Visit the official website at joaps.iitd.ac.in.
2. Next, click on the ‘JOAPS Portal’ tab.
3. On the JOAPS Portal, enter the Enrollment number/email ID and password.
4. Enter the shown captcha code and click on the ‘Submit’ option.
5. The IIT JAM 2025 scorecard will appear on the screen.
6. Download and take a few printouts of the IIT JAM 2025 scorecard for future reference.

IIT Madras on its official website released the list of IIT JAM 2024 Topper list on March 22, 2024. The JAM 2024 Topper list contains the list of names who have secured AIR Rank 1 in all the subjects for which the examination was conducted.
