The MAT 2025 exam will be administered in three modes- IBT (Internet-Based Test), PBT (Paper-Based Test), and CBT (Computer-Based Test). As per the MAT exam pattern 2025, the question paper will consist of five sections- Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, and Economics & Business Environment.

Each section consists of 30 multiple-choice questions, which was previously 40. There are a total of 150 questions. The exam will be conducted for a total duration of 120 minutes. For each correct answer, candidates will be allotted 1 mark, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

  • Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
  • Number of questions: 30 questions

  • Types of questions: Family relations, cause and effect, assumptions, clocks and calendars, reasons, analogies, directions, series, and incorrect terms.

Mathematical Skills

  • Number of questions: 30 questions
  • Marks: 30
  • Types of questions: Arithmetic questions, percentage, time and work, and quadratic questions.

Data Analysis and Sufficiency

  • Number of questions: 30 questions
  • Marks: 30
  • Types of questions: More than half the questions will come from data analysis, with the rest from data sufficiency and data comparison. Questions will analyze bar, line, and pie charts.

Economic and Business Environment

  • Number of questions: 30 questions
  • Marks: 30
  • Types of questions: Questions are formed on film awards, taxation & duties, and the Indian constitution.
