Bagalkot, home of the Basaveshwar Veerashaiva Vidya Vardhak Sangha (B. V. V. Sangha), is located in Karnataka's northern region. His Holiness Gurubasav Swamiji of Bilur founded Sangha in 1906 as a Sanskrit pathashala.
