IIT Tirupati is an autonomous technical university funded by the Indian government. It is situated on the Yerpedu-Venkatagiri Highway, about 22 km from Tirupati town. As a newly established IIT, it now operates from its permanent campus.

For BTech admissions, IIT Tirupati considers JEE Advanced scores, and seat allocation is done through JoSAA counselling.
