A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field is required for admission into PG courses.

Admission to all courses offered by the university is based on merit in the qualifying exam / AJEE score. After the test has been conducted, there will be a counselling round conducted by MP Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).

At the postgraduate level, RNTU offers M.Tech, MA, M.Com., M.Sc, LL.M, MBA, M.Ed, MHM, MSW, M.Lib., MPH and MPT courses in various specializations in full-time mode. A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.

RNTU also offers B.Voc, M.Voc & Ph.D. courses in different streams in full-time mode at the Doctorate level. For B.Voc, the candidates who have passed 12th Pass In any Stream or 10th pass + 2 years of ITI or Polytechnic Diploma pass and for M.Voc, Graduate/ B.E./ B.Tech/ in Electronics from a recognized university.

For Ph.D programs, Master’s degree in the cognate discipline with 55% marks (50% marks for reserved categories) from a recognized university.

How to apply for RNTU Admission 2025

Below are the steps to follow to apply for Rabindranath Tagore University Admission 2025.

Online Procedure:

1. Visit the official website and click on the ‘Admissions’ tab”.
2. Fill all the required details in the given form. If the entrance examination is required for the course, choose the desired examination centre as well. Also, choose ‘online / offline’ for a mode of examination (if applicable).
3. Upload photographs and pay the application fee of INR 500 online.
4. Payment can be made through Net banking, debit card or credit card.
5. After submitting, an SMS will be sent, alongside the final accepted application /registration number.

Offline Procedure:

Step 1: Students can get the form either from the University office or download it from www.rtu.ac.in. The cost of the application form is INR 500.

Step 2: The candidates must fill out the application form with the utmost care and mention all the necessary details correctly. It is mandatory to provide an email address and mobile number for further communication. Candidates must attach self-attested copies of the mark sheet with the application form.

Step 3: The following address is where the application form and duly attested documents should be delivered or submitted:

Note: Application form can get rejected in the following cases:

• Incomplete forms
• Forms missing annexure, photocopies of mark sheets.
• Forms received after the last date of examination.

Step 4: Qualifying candidates will be informed about the date, time and venue of Admission Procedure (Written Test/ Group Discussion/ Interview/ or Direct Admission) on the University’s website. In the case of direct admission, it would be purely based on the Merit basis. A list of selected candidates will be displayed on the website after which they will be required to submit the course fee. Failing to do so can lead to cancellation of admission.

Step 5: The University will send an email and SMS to the candidates regarding their admission status. However, this should not be taken as an official announcement of admission. Selected candidates will get intimation of their selection through an Admission Letter which will be sent through courier.
