Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA) manages the seat allocation process for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, IIEST, and GFTIs across India. It conducts counselling for students who have qualified JEE Main or JEE Advanced, ensuring a transparent and fair admission process for engineering aspirants.
Who is eligible for JoSAA 2025?
Candidates must have qualified in JEE Main 2025 for NITs, IIITs, IIEST, and GFTIs or JEE Advanced 2025 for IITs to be eligible for JoSAA 2025. Also, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria of the participating institutes, including the requirement of at least 75% marks in Class 12 for IITs and other institutes, if applicable.
What is the cut off for IIT 2025?
The cutoff for IIT is released by JoSAA 2025 in the form of opening and closing ranks after each counselling round. These cutoffs vary by institute, branch, and category. For example, the IIT Bombay CSE cutoff typically closes within AIR 66–70 for the General category.
How many rounds for NIT in JoSAA 2025?
JoSAA 2025 counselling will have six rounds of seat allotment for NITs, IIITs, IITs, and GFTIs. Candidates can participate in all six rounds until they accept and freeze a seat or until the final round is completed.
