- Choices in Rounds 1 to 4: During rounds 1 through 4, candidates can opt for “Accept and Freeze,” “Retain and Wait,” or “Reject.” However, the “Retain and Wait” option is limited to a maximum of two selections for any single offer.
- Mandatory Action Requirement: Candidates must select “Retain and Wait” in each eligible round. If no selection is made during a round, all offers for that round will automatically be deemed as “Rejected.”
- Decisive Round 5: In Round 5, candidates can only choose between “Accept and Freeze” or “Reject,” making it a critical decision point.
- Independent Rounds 6 to 10: Rounds 6 through 10 are considered independent decisive rounds, where candidates have only the options of “Accept and Freeze” or “Reject.” Round 10 is specifically for participating IITs that wish to continue beyond Round 9.
