Admission: The teachers here are super helpful and really know their stuff. The course content is up-to-date and actually useful. How hard the exams are usually comes down to how well the teachers explain things. Sometimes it feels like we're just doing assignments all the time. We've got mid-term and final exams to tackle too.
Placement: Most students here get jobs every year, but not everyone. Some go for more studies instead. The highest salary is around 23 LPA, while the average is 15 LPA. The lowest is 10 LPA. Your chances of getting hired depend on how hard you work and the skills you pick up.
Campus: The aerospace department at IIT Madras has been around since 1971. It's one of the older departments but still has all the latest tech. They've got free Wi-Fi, a seminar hall, air-conditioned classrooms with digital boards. And in every hostel, you can find free Wi-Fi, a TV room, a kitchen to cook, vending machines, and snacks for late-night munchies.

Admission: The course offers great opportunities. The curriculum is spot on, and the teachers are super qualified and friendly. They make it easy to reach out to them. The teaching is top-notch, and the exams are fair, with most students passing at around 90%.
Placement: The job opportunities for our course are really good, with about 85-90% of students finding jobs. In 2023, the highest salary was 40 lakhs per year, the lowest was 7.5 lakhs per year, and the average was 17 lakhs per year. The main companies hiring for our course are Keppel Offshore and Marine, Schlumberger, Shell, and Reliance Offshore. The popular job roles are marine engineers and offshore engineers.
Campus: The college I go to has awesome infrastructure. The classrooms are all new and have AC and fast Wi-Fi. The libraries are great too. Our hostels have everything we need like a pantry, laundry, and sports facilities. The food in the mess is pretty good. And we've got top-notch sports, medical facilities, and canteens.

Admission: The teachers here are awesome and really helpful. They motivate us to learn and find new chances. The topics we study are useful and make it easier to see what we can do after. How many pass also changes based on how hard the test is and how the teacher grades.
Placement: I really like this course because it opens up options for software jobs and other core fields. The average salary offered is around 10 LPA. Most students get placed, maybe even more than 75%. If you keep your grades up, you'll have a better chance at landing a job.
Campus: The Wi-Fi here is pretty good. The hostel has everything you need, like water and tasty food. The library has a ton of books to help you learn. The labs are top-notch, and they really support sports activities. It's a great place to study and have fun!

Admission: The classes are small, with just 10 students for every professor. The Electrical Engineering department has the most teachers and gets a lot of money for research. Most EE professors studied in the USA. The course content gets updated sometimes, but it can feel like what we learn doesn't always match up with what's happening in the real world. The exams are hard, and everyone is fighting to get top marks.
Placement: So, last year, there were 445 job offers and 407 pre-placement offers, including 15 from other countries. Some lucky folks got over 1 crore a year! Loads of big companies like Microsoft, Google, and Samsung came to our college for placements. The average salary was around 22.31 LPA. We also had 778 internships up for grabs. Almost everyone in our course got a job, with some choosing further studies or civil services. Salaries ranged from 9 to 85 LPA. The popular roles were software developer, design engineer, and more.
Campus: IIT M has a bunch of guy hostels and a few girl hostels. They all have hot water all day for drinking and showering. You can play sports like badminton and table tennis in the hostels. When you start, you share a room with two others, but later you get your own or share with just one. No AC, but there's a fast LAN in every room. Classes have cool Wi-Fi and AC. The EE department has loads of research labs.

Admission: All our professors have PhDs, but not all of them are great at teaching. Most are just okay, but they know their stuff from doing research. The courses are kinda outdated, so the aerospace stuff we learn might not be super helpful in the real world. To get good post-grad chances, you gotta do research with a professor and publish some papers. Exams are doable if you pay attention in class. They're not easy, but not crazy hard either. Passing depends on the professor, so it's a bit unpredictable.
Placement: Around 78% of us in my batch got jobs after college. The average salary was 16.08 LPA and the median was 17.5 LPA. One of my buddies landed a sweet gig in a Dubai start-up for 60 LPA! The kind of jobs we got depended on what we wanted to do. Some of us went into structural analysis, design, or even data science and software. A few even got PPOs as product managers. It's cool to see everyone finding their own path after graduation.
Campus: The classrooms in our department are okay, but they're not as good as some other departments. Most of the buildings have Wi-Fi, which is handy. We've got some really cool lecture halls for the basic courses and a few mix-and-match ones too. The mess has options for both North and South Indian food, and they have veg and non-veg sections. The food is alright, sometimes really good. There are two food courts around, one near the classes and one near the dorms. Plus, there's a restaurant called Zaitoon in the dorm area. It's cheap and the food is tasty.

Admission: The teachers are nice and know a lot, but their teaching could use some improvement. Some classes are boring, and the material can be hard to grasp, so you might need to study on your own. The semester exams aren't too hard, and you can pass them with enough prep. I'm a freshman, so I can't really say if the curriculum is relevant or not.
Placement: The job placements at IIT Madras for the 2024-25 year are happening now. The highest salary offered till now is 4.3 crore INR. Last year, around 1612 students got job offers from about 480 companies. The highest salary was 1.31 crore INR, while the lowest was 5.4 LPA. Big companies like Apple, Google, Bajaj, Qualcomm, JP Morgan, and Texas Instruments hired students. They got roles like software developer, data scientist, quant, and core engineer.
Campus: The college has good facilities and the labs have what we need, even though some stuff needs updating. Wi-Fi works well, especially in the library. The classrooms are nice and some have AC. The library is awesome with lots of books. The first-year hostel is great, but the ones after that aren't as good. Hostels have things like washing machines, TV rooms, and water coolers. There are different mess options with good food. The on-campus hospital is really good and they give out meds for free. Sports facilities are top-notch with plenty to choose from.

Admission: The teachers here are super helpful and a lot of them do research too. The coursework is practical and gives a good base for research. Exams are fair, not too hard or too easy, and they don't just ask direct questions. Your grade depends on how everyone in the class does, and the marking system is fair.
Placement: In my group, 51 students got jobs and 2 of them got in right away. The pay offered is usually between 8 to 10 LPA, with the lowest being 5 LPA. We mostly go for ed-tech companies in our course. There's also chances for research internships, but other internships need students to really work for them. The popular roles are data analyst, computing, and PhD scholar.
Campus: We've got everything we need right here medical facilities, travel services, a 24-hour library, a stadium, and a gym. Plus, the college hooks us up with department classrooms, free internet and Wi-Fi, cycle air pumps, indoor and outdoor games. And when hunger strikes, we've got the mess, canteen, and restaurants covered.

Admission: The teachers at IIT Madras are really helpful and know their stuff. The curriculum here is top-notch and prepares us well for the industry. If we understand the courses each semester and analyze them, the exams are a piece of cake. Some courses are pass or fail, though.
Placement: Almost everyone gets a job after graduating. The college has a strong network of former students. This year, the highest salary offered was 4.5 crore. As long as you're ready for interviews, you'll land a job with a good salary.
Campus: The hostels have LAN but no Wi-Fi, while the rest of the campus has Wi-Fi. The messes serve the best food. There's a sports stadium called Watsa and some indoor games in the hostels for students into sports.

Admission: The teachers here are super friendly and helpful. They share their real-life projects with us, which really helps during internships and job placements. The course is very hands-on, with lots of practical experience, projects, and presentations. We usually have 2 quizzes and 1 final exam at the end of the semester. The passing grade is around 35%, but it can vary depending on the professor.
Placement: Around half of the students here land a job in different companies. Every year, around 150-180 companies come for placements. The highest salary offered last year was 4.3 LPA by a Japanese company. On average, everyone gets around 18 LPA no matter what they study. The lowest package is 6 LPA. For my course, Tata and Momentive are the top companies that hire students. This year, many of us got internships in companies like ITC, Jaguar, and BCG. The popular roles are in software, data analysis, and finance.
Campus: The campus and hostels have Wi-Fi, which is great. The library has all the books we need for our courses, plus comics and storybooks. Some departments have AC classrooms. There's a hospital on campus with experienced doctors. The North and South mess serve veg and non-veg food separately. We have sports facilities and grounds for different games. Hostels also have grounds and indoor sports options.

Admission: The teachers here are super helpful and know their stuff. Most of them are great at teaching, but there are a few duds. The course is flexible and covers everything you need to know. After that, you can pick electives and learn cool stuff. Exams are a breeze if you study a bit. No need to stress like with JEE. Lots of students pass with flying colors.
Placement: Around 70% of students get jobs after finishing college. The best salary offered was around 1.31 CpA. On average, students get about 20 LPA. Companies like Bajaj Electronics and Samsung hire a lot of students. It's common for students to do internships during their time at college, but there's no official data on how many get internships. The main job roles are electrical design engineer and power systems engineer.
Campus: The course depth at ESB is awesome, with top-notch infrastructure and a great study environment. ESB-2 is even better than ESB. The Wi-Fi is super fast and reliable. The classrooms can fit 80-100 students comfortably and are always clean and well-equipped. The library has all the books you could ever need.
