26 Sept, 2025 : IIT Guwahati has announced changes to the GATE 2026 schedule to avoid a clash with the UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) on February 8, 2026. The GATE 2026 committee has confirmed that papers such as CE, EC, EE, GE, GG, IN, ME, and PI will not be held on this date, in line with the UPSC Annual Calendar. The updated schedule will be released soon.

The hostel mess provides nutritious meals with a focus on balanced diet options suitable for students' needs. The mess fees are charged separately from the hostel accommodation fees.
